Last Argentinos JRS Coachs
Nicolás Diez is the most recent recorded appointment, beginning on 1 December 2024, but the available timeline does not support describing him as the current coach. Norberto Batista preceded him from 1 November to 1 December 2024, while Cristian Zermatten’s recorded spell ran from August to November 2024. Pablo Guede’s tenure began in September 2023 and ended in August 2024. Zermatten also appears in an additional September 2023 entry, so the chronology does not confirm a present role.

Transfers Synthesis
The recorded movement picture around Argentinos JRS in 2026 combines incoming loans, free-agent arrivals, a permanent transfer and several returns from loan. Outgoing activity in the same period includes loans to domestic and international destinations, permanent transfers and free-agent departures. The entries involve clubs in Argentina, South America, Europe and North America, showing a broad geographic spread within the recorded sample. The overlap between arrivals and departures is visible in individual cases: A. Gamarra appears among the listed arrivals from Puebla and the departures to Cerro Porteno, while F. Báez is recorded as returning from Deportivo Moron before leaving for San Telmo. These examples illustrate why the movement record should be treated as a dated snapshot, rather than a definitive account of every change.
Leagues Argentinos JRS has participated in
Argentinos JRS has recent recorded participation in the Liga Profesional Argentina and Copa Argentina, with both competitions listed through 2025. The club’s historical competition record also includes the CONMEBOL Sudamericana through 2024, the Copa de la Liga Profesional through 2024 and the CONMEBOL Libertadores through 2023. Primera Nacional is recorded from 2014 to 2016, while Nacional B appears for 2021 and Copa de la Superliga for 2020. The competition list therefore spans domestic league and cup football alongside several continental campaigns, but it does not establish participation beyond the latest recorded seasons.
More about Argentinos JRS
Argentinos JRS is the short name used for Asociación Atlética Argentinos Juniors, a Buenos Aires club founded in 1904. Based in La Paternal, it is widely known as El Bicho, a nickname linked to its enduring red identity. The club’s traditional colours are red and white, carried through its badge and changing generations of home kits. Its home is the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona in La Paternal. The ground has also been known historically as Maldonado and La Isla, while its present name preserves the connection with Diego Maradona, whose professional debut came there. The stadium, its museum and the surrounding neighbourhood form an important part of the club’s public identity, giving the team a recognisable local centre rather than a detached sporting venue. Argentinos Juniors occupies a distinctive place in Argentine football through its long-standing academy tradition and emphasis on developing technically gifted young players. That reputation has made the club an important source of talent and has helped shape a football culture associated with technical quality, progressive ideas and close attention to player development. Its wider squad profile reflects a blend of experienced figures, academy products and regional talent. The club operates as a civil association governed by its members, following the community-centred model common to traditional Argentine institutions. On the field, its recent domestic record includes the Liga Profesional Argentina and Copa Argentina, alongside historical participation in the Copa de la Liga Profesional, Primera Nacional and Nacional B. Its continental record includes appearances in the CONMEBOL Libertadores and CONMEBOL Sudamericana. Together, the neighbourhood base, member-led structure, red-and-white symbolism and academy culture define Argentinos Juniors as one of Argentina’s distinctive football institutions.
