Jamal Musiala

Jamal Musiala is a German attacking midfielder for Bayern München. Born in Stuttgart on 26 February 2003, he began playing in Germany with TSV Lehnerz before moving to England with his family at seven. He briefly joined Southampton’s academy and then entered Chelsea’s academy at eight, where he often played as a striker and developed his finishing. In July 2019, Musiala returned to Germany to join Bayern’s academy. He debuted for Bayern II in June 2020, then made his Bundesliga debut that month, becoming the club’s youngest league player at the time. Musiala chose Germany in 2021 after representing England at youth level, and he has since become an important international midfielder. His close control, dribbling and movement between the lines support both chance creation and direct attacks. He scored Bayern’s winner against Cologne in 2023 to secure the Bundesliga title, and shared Euro 2024’s Golden Boot with three goals.
