Umar Sadiq Mesbah

Umar Sadiq Mesbah is a Nigerian forward born in Kaduna on 2 February 1997. He developed with Kusa Boys, the Future of Africa Football Academy and Football College Abuja before moving to Italy and joining Spezia’s youth system. Sadiq’s performances there led to a loan at AS Roma, where he made his Serie A debut in 2015 and scored against Genoa. After signing permanently for Roma, he also spent time with Bologna, Torino and Rangers. A 2019 move to FK Partizan revived his career, as he became a prominent attacking player in Serbia. Sadiq then joined Almeria, helping the club earn promotion to La Liga before transferring to Real Sociedad in 2022. After an ACL injury interrupted his start in San Sebastian, he returned to competition and later joined Valencia, where he remains part of the squad.
