Teun Koopmeiners is a Dutch midfielder born in Amsterdam on 28 February 1998. He began at Vitesse '22 before joining AZ Alkmaar’s academy in 2009, developing through the club’s youth system. At AZ, Koopmeiners progressed into the first team, captained the side, and scored 15 goals in the 2020–21 season, when he was named Eredivisie Player of the Season.
