Saba Sazonov
Saba Sazonov is a Georgian centre-back born in Saint Petersburg on 1 February 2002. He developed at Zenit Saint Petersburg and made his Russian Premier League debut for the club in May 2021. After moving to Dynamo Moscow in July 2021, Sazonov became a regular during the 2022–23 campaign, making 24 league appearances. In September 2022, after representing Russia at youth level and receiving an under-21 call-up from both countries, he chose Georgia. He played every minute of Georgia’s four matches at the 2023 UEFA European Under-21 Championship and headed the opening goal in a 2–0 win over Portugal. Torino signed Sazonov in August 2023, and he made 12 appearances in his first Serie A season before joining Empoli on loan. He is currently listed with Getafe.
