Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha

Nani, whose full name is Luís Carlos Almeida da Cunha, is a Portuguese left winger born in Praia, Cape Verde, in 1986. He developed at Real Massamá before joining Sporting CP, where he made his senior debut and won the Taça de Portugal in 2007. He moved to Manchester United that year and spent eight seasons there, contributing from the wing as the club won four Premier League titles, the Champions League and the FIFA Club World Cup. His United spell also included a 2010–11 Players’ Player of the Year award and a league-leading 14 assists. After leaving England, he played for Fenerbahçe, Valencia and Lazio before continuing with Orlando City. He later represented Venezia and Melbourne Victory, extending a career across several leagues. At international level, Nani represented Portugal and played in the Euro 2016 final, helping the team defeat France and win its first major international trophy. He is listed with Aktobe.
