Matteo Prati

Matteo Prati is an Italian midfielder born in Ravenna on December 28, 2003. He developed in Ravenna FC’s youth system and made his senior debut in March 2021, when the club played in Serie C. After Ravenna’s relegation to Serie D, Prati became a regular during the 2021–22 season, recording 32 appearances, five goals and four assists. He moved to SPAL in July 2022, gaining Serie B experience and making 20 appearances with two goals. Cagliari signed Prati in August 2023, continuing his rise through Italy’s professional divisions. For Italy’s under-20 side at the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup, he scored against Brazil in a 3–2 group-stage victory and helped the team reach the final. Prati also progressed to the Italy under-21 squad in September 2023, while his deep-lying midfield role combines distribution with defensive coverage.
