Lorenzo De Silvestri

Lorenzo De Silvestri is an Italian defender from Rome who developed as a right-back and later also operated as a right wing-back. He began his senior career with Lazio before moving to Fiorentina in 2009, where he worked on balancing forward runs with defensive duties. De Silvestri joined Sampdoria in 2012 and became a regular presence during a four-year spell in Genoa. In 2016 he transferred to Torino, producing his most productive attacking season in 2017–18 with seven goals. He moved to Bologna in 2020 and has since combined defensive positioning, aerial ability and experience with a leadership role. De Silvestri helped Bologna win the Coppa Italia in 2025, a landmark success that ended the club’s long trophy wait. Across his career, Lorenzo De Silvestri has adapted from an energetic full-back into a more measured and versatile defender.
