Liel Abada

Liel Abada is an Israeli forward who plays primarily as a right winger for Charlotte FC. Born in Petah Tikva on 3 October 2001, he developed in the academy of Maccabi Petah Tikva and made his senior debut for the club in January 2019. During the 2020–21 season, Abada scored 13 goals in 38 appearances, including four in seven matches after moving into a centre-forward role. Celtic signed him in July 2021, and he scored on his competitive debut against Midtjylland. In Scotland, Abada became a regular attacking contributor, winning the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award and helping Celtic claim five domestic trophies, including the 2022–23 treble. He also represented Israel at international level before joining Charlotte in March 2024. In his first MLS season, Abada recorded seven goals and two assists in 24 appearances, continuing to provide movement and finishing from the right flank.
