Kristjan Asllani

Kristjan Asllani is an Albanian defensive midfielder born in Elbasan on 9 March 2002. He moved to Italy as a child and developed through Butese before joining Empoli’s academy at age ten. At Empoli, Asllani progressed from the youth ranks into senior football, making his professional debut against Napoli in the Coppa Italia in January 2021. His Serie A breakthrough followed in 2021–22, when he became a regular midfielder and scored against Inter at San Siro. That performance preceded his move to Inter, where he continued developing as a deep-lying playmaker and provided cover at the base of midfield. Asllani was part of Inter’s squad during their 2023–24 Scudetto-winning campaign. Internationally, he chose Albania and made his senior debut in 2022, later featuring throughout the group stage of Euro 2024.
