José Luis Sanmartín Mato

Joselu attacks space and targets the back post for Al-Gharafa, using his aerial frame to pin centre-backs. Joselu began at Real Madrid Castilla, then plied his trade across Eintracht Frankfurt and Hannover 96 before finding La Liga form. He learns to finish from tight angles. A prolific spell with Alavés and Espanyol followed, where his one-touch finishes and flick-ons sharpened build-up. The turning point arrived on loan at Real Madrid, scoring a late brace to help reach the Champions League final. That season yielded the UEFA Champions League trophy with Real Madrid. International note: Joselu contributed to Spain's Euro 2024 victory. On match days Joselu maintains a traditional striker role, presses high, finishes moves, and gets shots off quickly.
