Josef Alexander Martínez Mencia
Josef Martínez attacks space with decisive runs, pulling defenders out of shape as he checks runs behind the line. He circles the box, seeking gaps. Josef Martínez began with Caracas FC in 2010 as a sharp finisher. He moved to Europe, starring for Young Boys and Thun before Torino in 2014. The 2023 Leagues Cup season saw Martínez lift the inaugural trophy with Inter Miami. Representing Venezuela, Martínez presses high and pins centre-backs while dropping to link play. He links play with one-touch layoffs, attacks the back post and finishes moves. Martínez gets shots off quickly and sustains a relentless front-foot threat.
