Jonathan Montiel Caballero

Joni Montiel, whose full name is Jonathan Montiel Caballero, is a Spanish attacking midfielder born in Madrid on 3 September 1998. He developed at Rayo Vallecano and made his senior debut for the club against Real Madrid in December 2015, becoming Rayo’s youngest player to appear in an official match. Montiel later broadened his experience through loan spells, including periods with Real Oviedo, Levante and Real Valladolid. He also returned to Rayo, where he scored his first professional goal against Elche in March 2020. A left-footed playmaker, Montiel can operate centrally or from the left, using passing and movement to connect attacks rather than relying solely on a wide position. After his years in Spanish football, Joni Montiel moved to Qarabag, where he has continued his career in Azerbaijan and gained exposure to European competition.
