Joseph Martin Paintsil
Joseph Martin Paintsil is a Ghanaian attacking midfielder, born in Accra on 1 February 1998. He developed at the Red Bull Academy Ghana before joining Tema Youth, where he made his professional breakthrough in the 2017 Ghana Premier League. Paintsil then moved to Europe, spending the 2017–18 season with Ferencváros and later joining Belgian club Genk in 2018. At Genk, he helped win the 2018–19 Belgian First Division A title and the 2019–20 Belgian Super Cup, while operating across attacking positions. In February 2024, Paintsil joined Los Angeles Galaxy as a Designated Player, bringing pace and direct running to the attack. He helped the Galaxy win the 2024 MLS Cup and remained a prominent attacking outlet in the following season. Paintsil has also represented Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations and in 2026 World Cup qualifying.
