Joy-Lance Mickels

Joy-Lance Mickels is a German football midfielder born in Siegburg on 29 March 1994. He developed in German youth football before progressing into senior competition. Mickels played for Borussia Mönchengladbach II and Schalke 04 II in the Regionalliga, then continued his career with Alemannia Aachen and FSV Wacker Nordhausen. A spell with Carl Zeiss Jena preceded his move abroad to MVV Maastricht in the Netherlands, where he scored seven goals in 27 games. Mickels joined Sabah FA in 2021 and became an important attacking contributor, scoring 29 goals in 61 appearances during his first spell. He later moved to Al-Faisaly in Saudi Arabia before returning to Sabah FA in July 2024. At Sabah FA, Mickels has continued to operate in advanced areas, combining midfield responsibilities with a direct threat near goal.
