Ismaël Landry Doukouré

Ismaël Landry Doukouré is a French defender born in Lille on 24 July 2003. He developed through local youth football before joining Valenciennes, where he signed his first professional contract in July 2020. Doukouré made his professional debut against Sochaux in October that year and was selected for France’s squad at the Tokyo Olympics. Strasbourg signed him in January 2022, and he made his Ligue 1 debut in May, featuring in a 1–0 victory over Brest. He has since broadened his role beyond centre-back, also operating as a defensive midfielder and right-back when required. His game combines recovery pace, anticipation and secure passing, helping him cover space and support build-up. Under Strasbourg’s recent tactical development, Doukouré has increasingly been used in midfield while retaining defensive responsibilities.
