Eduardo Expósito Jaén

Edu Expósito is a Spanish central midfielder born in Barcelona on 1 August 1996. He developed in Catalonia with CF Cubelles, CF Vilanova, CF Gavà and CF Damm before moving to Deportivo La Coruña in 2015. Expósito began with Deportivo’s reserve side, Fabril, and progressed to make his senior debut that year. He made his La Liga debut for Deportivo in 2017 and became a regular in the first team during the 2018–19 Segunda División campaign. In 2019, he joined Eibar, where he adapted his passing game to a demanding midfield role involving pressing, defensive coverage and quick transitions. Expósito moved to Espanyol in August 2022, returning to his home region and becoming part of the club’s promotion campaign in 2023–24. Primarily a central midfielder, he can also operate deeper or further forward, using line-breaking passes, switches of play and set-piece delivery to create chances.
