Daniel Santos Bragança

Daniel Bragança is a Portuguese central midfielder who developed at Sporting CP’s Alcochete academy after joining the club’s youth system in 2007–08. Born in Almeirim on 27 May 1999, he progressed through Sporting’s age groups and captained several youth sides. In 2019, Sporting sent him on loan to SC Farense, where he scored against Estoril and Penafiel, before a further loan spell at Estoril in 2019–20. Daniel Bragança returned to Lisbon and made his Sporting first-team debut against Aberdeen in the Europa League. He became part of Rúben Amorim’s squad during the 2020–21 campaign, when Sporting won the Portuguese league title, and made 21 league appearances. A technically minded midfielder, he links defence and attack through ball retention, short combinations and vertical passing, while also covering space in midfield.
