Davy Roef

Davy Roef is a Belgian goalkeeper born in Rumst on 6 February 1994. He developed at Anderlecht and entered senior football there, making his league debut in 2013 when he replaced the injured Silvio Proto. Roef later sought regular playing time through a 2017 loan to Deportivo La Coruña, where an ankle injury restricted him to one La Liga appearance against Las Palmas. Returning to Belgium, he established himself as a regular for SK Beveren from 2017 to 2019, gaining sustained top-flight experience. In 2020, Roef joined Gent, where he has continued to compete at the highest level of Belgian football and become an established presence in goal. At 1.87 metres, he combines close-range reflexes and measured positioning with increasingly confident distribution, helping Gent build from the back. His career also includes domestic success, with Anderlecht’s First Division A titles in 2012–13 and 2013–14 and a role in Gent’s 2021–22 Belgian Cup triumph.
