Daniele Padelli

Daniele Padelli is an Italian goalkeeper born in Lecco on 25 October 1985. He began at Delebio before developing in the youth systems of Lecco and Como, then joining Sampdoria in 2004 and representing Italy at youth level. In January 2007, Sampdoria loaned Padelli to Liverpool, where he became the first Italian to play for the club by starting the 2–2 Premier League draw with Charlton Athletic in May. After further experience in Italy, he moved to Udinese in 2011 and made 12 appearances during the 2012–13 season, including Serie A and European outings. Padelli joined Torino in 2013, became their regular goalkeeper, played every match in 2013–14 as the team qualified for the Europa League, and received a senior Italy call-up in 2014. He signed for Inter in 2017, mainly deputising for Samir Handanović, and was part of the squad that won the 2020–21 Scudetto. Padelli returned to Udinese in 2021, bringing experience to the reserve and mentoring role.
