Derrick Luckassen

Derrick Luckassen is a Dutch centre-back born in Amsterdam on 3 July 1995. He developed at AZ Alkmaar, progressing through the academy before making his senior debut in 2014. Primarily a central defender, Luckassen has also been used in defensive midfield and at right-back, reflecting his positional versatility. In 2017, he moved to PSV Eindhoven and was part of the side that won the Eredivisie in his first season. His subsequent career included loan spells with Hertha BSC, Anderlecht, Kasımpaşa and Fatih Karagümrük, giving him experience in Germany, Belgium and Turkey. Luckassen later joined Pafos, adding Cyprus to his club career and continuing to provide a physical presence in central defence. He represented the Netherlands from under-18 to under-21 level and is listed with Ghana at senior international level.
