Domenico Berardi

Domenico Berardi is an Italian forward born in Cariati Marina on 1 August 1994. He began his youth development with Cosenza before moving to Sassuolo at 16, where he established the club relationship that has defined his career. Berardi helped Sassuolo win the Serie B title in 2013 and then made his mark in Serie A. In 2013–14, aged 19, he scored four goals against Milan in one league match, an early landmark in his rise. Primarily deployed from the right, Berardi developed from a direct finisher into a left-footed wide playmaker who cuts inside and contributes to chance creation. With Italy, he was part of the Euro 2020-winning squad and converted the opening penalty in the final shootout against England. A complete right-Achilles tendon tear in March 2024 ruled him out of Euro 2024, but Berardi returned for Sassuolo in October that year.
