Gleison Bremer Silva Nascimento

Bremer, whose full name is Gleison Bremer Silva Nascimento, is a Brazilian defender born in Itapitanga on 18 March 1997. He began his development at Desportivo Brasil in 2014 and spent a brief period with São Paulo’s academy on loan in 2016. In 2017, Bremer joined Atlético Mineiro and made his Série A debut as a substitute against Chapecoense on 25 June that year. He moved to Torino in July 2018, initially serving as a reserve before establishing himself as a starter during the 2019–20 season. Bremer became a leading Serie A centre-back, topping Europe’s five major leagues for interceptions in 2021–22 and winning the Lega Serie A Best Defender award. Juventus signed him in July 2022, adding a strong marker and aerial presence to their defence. Bremer has also represented Brazil, linking his club-level defensive work with involvement at international level.
