Alexis Mac Allister

Alexis Mac Allister is an Argentine central midfielder born in La Pampa on 24 December 1998. He began developing at Club Social Parque before progressing through the Argentinos Juniors academy and making his senior debut for the club in 2016. Mac Allister helped Argentinos Juniors win the 2016–17 Argentine second division. Brighton signed him, and he spent a loan spell at Boca Juniors, where he won the 2019–20 Primera División. He later established himself in English football with Brighton, adapting from an attacking role to deeper central positions. Mac Allister was part of Brighton’s sixth-place finish in 2022–23, which brought the club European qualification. Liverpool signed him in June 2023, adding a right-footed midfielder valued for passing, ball progression and positional flexibility. Internationally, he represents Argentina and started the 2022 World Cup final, which Argentina won.
