Abu Francis

Abu Francis is a Ghanaian midfielder born in Accra on 27 April 2001. He developed at Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy, where he was named best player at a J-League Youth tournament in Japan after scoring twice in the final. In summer 2019, Francis moved to partner club FC Nordsjælland and made his senior debut on 14 July, starting in a 3–0 victory over AC Horsens. He spent three years in Denmark before joining Cercle Brugge in August 2022. At Cercle, he established himself as a combative central midfielder, contributing four assists in 35 appearances during the 2024–25 season. Toulouse brought Francis to France in August 2025, adding a midfielder noted for ball-winning, interceptions and secure passing. He has also been involved with Ghana, including during the international duty on which he suffered a serious leg fracture.
