Abdul Rahman Baba

Abdul Rahman Baba is a Ghanaian defender who operates primarily at left-back. Born in Tamale on 2 July 1994, he developed with Young Meteors Tamale before progressing through Dreams FC and a loan spell at Asante Kotoko. That spell included the 2011–12 Ghana Premier League title, after which Baba moved to Europe with SpVgg Greuther Fürth in 2012. He joined FC Augsburg in 2014 and established himself as a tenacious Bundesliga full-back, earning a move to Chelsea in 2015. After making appearances for Chelsea, he spent time on loan at Schalke 04 and later suffered a serious knee injury while representing Ghana at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations. Further loan periods included Reims and Mallorca as he worked to rebuild his career. Since joining PAOK permanently in 2023, Abdul Rahman Baba has regained a regular role and helped the club win the 2023–24 Greek Super League title.
