Zhirayr Shaghoyan
Zhirayr Shaghoyan is an Armenian football forward who plays as a left winger. Born on 10 April 2001, he developed in Pyunik Yerevan’s youth system before joining Ararat-Armenia in August 2017. He was part of the squad that won the Armenian Premier League title in the 2018/19 season. Shaghoyan later spent a loan spell with BKMA Yerevan before moving to Bulgarian club CSKA Sofia on loan in September 2022. In July 2024, he joined Hungarian side Debrecen on loan and returned to Ararat-Armenia in January 2025. He made his Armenia debut in a 2–0 World Cup qualifying victory over Iceland on 28 March 2021. Shaghoyan scored his first international goal against Kosovo in November 2022. From the left flank, he can cut inside and also contribute in more central attacking roles.
