Željko Samčović

Željko Samčović is a Serbian goalkeeper born on 12 September 2002. He developed in the youth system of FK Mladost Lučani before moving into the club’s senior setup in June 2022. Samčović spent his early senior period building experience in Serbian football, with appearances coming intermittently as he adapted to the SuperLiga. In January 2025, he joined FK Novi Pazar on loan, a move that gave him a larger platform and increased responsibility. The transfer was made permanent on 19 January 2026, continuing his progression with Novi Pazar. As a goalkeeper, Samčović is noted for his reach, cross-claiming and reactive shot-stopping, with penalty saving identified as one of his strengths. His role also includes organizing the defence and starting attacks from the back. He has represented Serbia at under-20 level.
