Zurab Golubiani

Zurab Golubiani is a Georgian midfielder who developed in the FC Locomotive Tbilisi academy. He began his senior pathway with Shevardeni 1906 in 2020 before continuing through Iberia 1999 II and FC Varketili. During the 2022 season, he scored twice in the David Kipiani Cup for Varketili. Golubiani joined SFC Shturmi in early 2024, appearing in 14 matches as he gained further experience in Georgia’s second tier. In July 2024, he moved to Spaeri, where he became an established member of the squad. He featured in Spaeri’s 2025 Erovnuli Liga 2 campaign and was involved in the club’s promotion play-off against FC Gareji, including the second-leg defeat. Golubiani’s role has developed from an attacking midfield position into a more versatile central role, with passing, possession and pressing among the responsibilities associated with his game.
