Zeno Koen Debast

Zeno Koen Debast is a Belgian centre-back born in Halle on October 24, 2003. He developed at Anderlecht, joining the academy as a young player and initially featuring as an attacking midfielder before moving into central defence at 14. Debast signed his first professional contract at 16 and made his senior debut for Anderlecht in May 2021. His breakthrough came in 2022–23, when he became a regular and made his senior debut for Belgium at 18. He continued to establish himself in Anderlecht’s defence during 2023–24, often alongside Jan Vertonghen, before moving to Sporting CP in July 2024. At Sporting, Zeno Debast adapted to a back three and has operated as a right-sided centre-back, contributing to build-up play with progressive passing and ball carrying. He also represents Belgium at senior international level and won the Liga Portugal and Taça de Portugal in his first season in Portugal.
