Zorhan Ludovic Bassong

Zorhan Ludovic Bassong is a Canadian defender born in Longueuil. His early development took place in European academy football, where he refined his work as a left-sided defender before beginning his senior career with Cercle Brugge in 2019. He returned to North America with CF Montréal for the 2021 MLS season, becoming a regular contributor and helping the club win the Canadian Championship. After leaving Montréal, Bassong continued his career in Romania with Farul Constanța before joining Sporting Kansas City in December 2023. Initially used at left back, Zorhan Bassong moved into central midfield in August 2024, adding ball progression and positional flexibility to his defensive experience. In 2025, he recorded 1,669 MLS minutes and completed 91% of his passes, while also contributing tackles and lateral cover.
