Zhivko Stanislavov Atanasov
Zhivko Stanislavov Atanasov is a Bulgarian defender born in Dobroplodno on 3 February 1991. He developed in Levski Sofia’s youth system before gaining senior experience with Chavdar Etropole and Septemvri Simitli between 2010 and 2012. In February 2012, Atanasov joined Cherno More Varna, making his debut at centre-back against Levski Sofia. During his first Varna spell, which lasted until 2015, he grew into a leading defender and helped Cherno More win the 2014–15 Bulgarian Cup. Atanasov moved to Italy in 2016, representing Juve Stabia, Viterbese and Catanzaro in Serie C, and won the Coppa Italia Serie C with Viterbese in 2019. He returned to Levski Sofia in 2020 and went back to Cherno More in 2021. Atanasov made his Bulgaria debut against Hungary in November 2023, adding senior international football to a career built across Bulgaria and Italy.
