Ygor Nogueira de Paula

Ygor Nogueira is a Brazilian defender born in Itaperuna on 27 March 1995. He developed at Fluminense, joining the club’s academy in 2007 before taking a loan to Belgian side Gent in September 2014. Nogueira returned to Brazil and made his professional debut for Fluminense in November 2015, completing the 1–1 draw with Internacional. After gaining opportunities in 2017, he moved to Figueirense on loan in December that year for regular playing time. His European career later included Gil Vicente, where he made 43 Primeira Liga appearances between 2019 and 2021, followed by spells with Mazatlán, Juventude, Santa Clara and GD Chaves. He signed for Azerbaijan’s Sabah FK in August 2024, while FC Rostov is listed as his current squad. At 1.87 metres, Ygor Nogueira offers central defensive height and experience across several leagues.
