Yevhen Chagovets

Yevhen Chagovets is a Ukrainian defender born on 24 March 1998 in Andriivka. At 1.92 metres, he developed at UFK Kharkiv before joining Shakhtar Donetsk’s youth setup. At Shakhtar, Chagovets played for the under-19 and under-21 sides from 2015 to 2019 and featured in the UEFA Youth League. In July 2019, he moved to FC Minsk, where he established himself through regular first-team football over the following three seasons. He later had spells with Ruh Brest in Belarus, Ordabasy in Kazakhstan and FK Riteriai in Lithuania. Chagovets subsequently returned to Belarus with FK Gomel before joining Torpedo-BelAZ Zhodino. A tall centre-back, he offers size in defensive and aerial situations and favours composed, safety-first distribution from the back.
