Yan Bueno Couto

Yan Bueno Couto is a Brazilian right-back born in Curitiba on 3 June 2002. He developed at Coritiba and made his senior debut for the club in February 2020, appearing as a substitute in a 2–0 win over Cianorte. Earlier, he helped Brazil win the 2019 FIFA Under-17 World Cup, supplying the assist in the final against Mexico. Manchester City signed Couto in 2020, then sent him to Girona for the 2020–21 season and SC Braga for 2021–22. He returned to Girona for two seasons, becoming an important contributor as the club qualified for the Champions League for the first time in 2023–24. Borussia Dortmund brought Yan Couto to Germany in 2024 after his development through those loans. As a right-back, he offers acceleration, dribbling and low crosses while also operating as a wing-back.
