Yago de Santiago Alonso

Yago de Santiago Alonso is a Spanish forward who plays primarily as a left winger. Born in Vigo on 15 April 2003, he began his football education with CD Areosa before joining RC Celta de Vigo’s youth system. In 2019, Yago Alonso moved to the Tottenham Hotspur Academy, where he developed through the club’s age groups and featured for Tottenham’s Under-21 side in Premier League 2. Across the 2022–23 and 2023–24 campaigns, he recorded 59 league appearances, 20 goals and 12 assists for Tottenham U21. His progress also brought training opportunities with Tottenham’s first team, and he was named among the substitutes for a Premier League match against Brighton in December 2023. In July 2024, Alonso joined Elche, continuing his senior development in Spain. At Elche, he has been used as a wide attacker with experience in more central roles.
