Yanis Zouaoui

Yanis Zouaoui is a French defender born in Marseille on 28 April 1998. He developed in the Marseille area, including spells with SO Septèmes and JS Pennes Mirabeau, before spending seven years in the Olympique de Marseille academy from 2006 to 2013. After continuing with FC Côte Bleue, Zouaoui began his senior career at Martigues in 2017. He then joined Toulon in 2018, later had a short spell with Foresta Suceava in Romania, and returned to Martigues in 2021. Across his second Martigues spell, he established himself as a regular defender and contributed seven goals in 82 appearances. On 5 July 2024, he moved to Le Havre on a free transfer, making the step from the lower divisions to Ligue 1. Primarily a left-back, Yanis Zouaoui can also operate as a left midfielder or wing-back, offering width, crossing and set-piece delivery.
