Yvon Landry Mvogo Nganoma

Yvon Landry Mvogo Nganoma, commonly known as Yvon Mvogo, is a Swiss goalkeeper born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, on 6 June 1994. He moved to Switzerland as a child and developed at FC Marly and FC Fribourg before joining BSC Young Boys’ academy at 16. Mvogo entered Young Boys’ first-team squad in 2012–13 and made his professional debut in an 8–0 Swiss Cup win over Veyrier in August 2013. After establishing himself in Bern, he transferred to RB Leipzig in July 2017, where competition for goalkeeping duties limited his regular Bundesliga opportunities. He then joined PSV Eindhoven on a two-year loan in 2020, winning the KNVB Cup and Johan Cruyff Shield during the 2021–22 campaign. Mvogo moved permanently to Lorient in July 2022 and later received the UNFP Ligue 2 Goalkeeper of the Year award for 2024–25. He made his Switzerland debut against Iceland in October 2018 and featured in squads for the 2018 World Cup and Euro 2020, increasingly contributing through distribution and sweeping.
