Yerson Mosquera Valdelamar

Yerson Mosquera Valdelamar is a Colombian defender from Apartadó. He began in midfield before developing into a centre-back and made his professional debut for Atlético Nacional against River Plate in the Copa Sudamericana in October 2020. Mosquera moved to Wolverhampton Wanderers in June 2021, but his early England spell was disrupted by a serious hamstring injury suffered during his EFL Cup debut against Tottenham. He later rebuilt his rhythm through loans to FC Cincinnati in 2023 and Villarreal in early 2024. At Villarreal, he made 16 appearances and scored two goals. Returning to Wolves, Mosquera has competed for a regular central-defensive role, with occasional cover at right-back.
