Youssef Maziz

Youssef Maziz is a French midfielder born in Thionville on 24 June 1998. He joined the FC Metz academy in 2006, spent a short period with CSO Amnéville, and returned to Metz in 2013 to complete his development. Maziz made his senior debut for Metz in 2017 before beginning a sequence of loans that broadened his experience. At US Avranches in 2018–19, he played in the Championnat National, then moved to Le Mans for the following season in Ligue 2. A 2021–22 loan to Belgian club Seraing United marked a breakthrough, with Maziz contributing goals and assists as an attacking midfielder. He returned to Metz for the 2022–23 campaign and helped the club secure promotion to Ligue 1, including two goals against Bastia. In 2023, Maziz transferred to OH Leuven, where his role developed toward a central creative midfield position.
