Yannik Engelhardt

Yannik Engelhardt is a German midfielder born on 7 February 2001. He began at JSG Eintracht HöhBernSee and JFV Eichsfeld before joining Werder Bremen’s academy at 14, progressing from the under-15s to the under-19s. Engelhardt made his senior debut for Werder Bremen II in the Regionalliga Nord during the 2019–20 season. In 2021, he joined SC Freiburg II on a two-year loan, making 54 3. Liga appearances and recording three goals and five assists. Freiburg exercised an option to sign him in 2023, and Engelhardt later moved into Italian football with Como 1907. Used primarily as a defensive midfielder, Yannik Engelhardt is also able to operate centrally, combining short passing with tackling and aerial work.
