Yunus Emre Çift

Yunus Emre Çift is a defender from Samsun, Türkiye, who developed in Samsunspor’s academy after joining the club in 2017. He made his senior debut for Samsunspor during the 2021–22 TFF First League season, recording 21 league appearances. In 2022–23, Çift played 26 league matches and scored once as Samsunspor won the TFF First League title and earned promotion to the Süper Lig. He then stepped into top-flight football, making 10 appearances in the 2023–24 campaign. Primarily a centre-back, Çift has also been used at right-back and defensive midfield, reflecting his positional versatility. At 1.85 metres, he contributes through tackling, interceptions, clearances and aerial challenges, while continuing to refine his discipline and distribution. Çift remains associated with Samsunspor and has also represented Türkiye at under-21 level.
