Xavier Quentin Shay Simons

Xavier Quentin Shay Simons is a Dutch attacking midfielder, born in Amsterdam on 21 April 2003. He began playing in Spain before joining Barcelona’s La Masia academy at seven, spending nine years there during his youth development. In 2019, Simons moved to Paris Saint-Germain, where he made his senior debut in 2021. He returned to the Netherlands with PSV Eindhoven in 2022 and broke through during the 2022–23 season, helping the club win the KNVB Cup and Johan Cruyff Shield while finishing joint top scorer in the Eredivisie with 19 goals. PSG then brought him back and sent him to RB Leipzig, where he became an important creative player and recorded 10 goals and 15 assists in the 2023–24 season. Simons made his Netherlands debut at the 2022 World Cup and scored in the Euro 2024 semi-final against England. He joined Tottenham for the 2025–26 campaign, adding Premier League football to a career built across Europe’s major leagues.
