Vilmos Tamás Orbán

Vilmos Tamás Orbán is a Hungarian centre-back who was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany, in 1992. He joined 1. FC Kaiserslautern at four and developed through the club’s academy, later featuring for its senior side and briefly playing as a defensive midfielder. Orbán made his Bundesliga debut against Bayern Munich in 2011, then established himself as a first-team regular during the 2013–14 season. He moved to RB Leipzig in 2015, helping the club win promotion to the Bundesliga in his first season there. The centre-back was appointed Leipzig’s captain in 2017–18, as the club developed into a regular European contender. He later helped Leipzig win the DFB-Pokal in 2023 and remains a prominent defender for the club. After representing Germany at under-21 level, Orbán switched to Hungary in 2018, becoming an important member of the national team at Euro 2020 and Euro 2024.
