Wellity Lucky Omoruyi

Wellity Lucky Omoruyi is a Spanish defender born in Zaragoza on 12 January 2006. He began his football education with Club Deportivo San Gregorio Arrabal before joining Real Zaragoza’s youth system, where he developed until around 2019. After his family moved to England, Omoruyi joined Liverpool’s academy in 2019 and progressed through the club’s age groups. He became a regular for Liverpool Under-18s, captaining the side during the 2023–24 season before moving up to the Under-21s. Primarily a centre-back, he can also operate at right-back and is described as a front-footed defender who uses positioning, recovery pace and aerial ability to manage transitions. In possession, Wellity Lucky contributes calm distribution and can step forward to help break lines, while his international experience includes England youth teams and a Spain Under-17 call-up.
