Onyinye Wilfred Ndidi

Onyinye Wilfred Ndidi is a Nigerian defensive midfielder born in Lagos on 16 December 1996. He developed at Nath Boys Academy, initially as a central defender, before moving to Europe and joining Genk in January 2015. At Genk, Ndidi also filled in at left-back, but established himself in midfield through his tackling, interceptions and positional discipline. Leicester City signed him in January 2017, and he became a prominent ball-winner in the Premier League while also covering at centre-back when required. Ndidi helped Leicester win the FA Cup in 2021 and the Community Shield later that year. During Leicester’s 2023–24 promotion campaign, he was used in a more advanced midfield role and recorded four goals and five assists. After helping Leicester return to the Premier League, Ndidi moved to Beşiktaş in August 2025 and continues to represent Nigeria.
