William Mikelbrencis

William Mikelbrencis is a French defender, primarily deployed at right-back, born in Forbach on 25 February 2004. He developed in the FC Metz academy and signed his first professional contract in April 2021. Mikelbrencis gained senior experience with Metz II before making his Ligue 1 debut for Metz against Strasbourg in January 2022. In August that year, he moved to Hamburger SV, beginning a new phase of his career in Germany. At Hamburg, he initially combined reserve-team football with brief first-team appearances, while continuing to develop his work on the right flank. He has also represented France from under-16 through under-20 level, including an assist in an under-18 victory over Italy in 2021. Mikelbrencis offers attacking energy and creativity from wide areas, with his versatility extending to right midfield and inverted wing-back roles.
