William David Keane

William David Keane

William David Keane pursues space in the box, attacking the channel and ghosting behind the defence to finish chances for Preston North End. He thrives in crossing runs. Keane broke through at Manchester United in 2011 after climbing from the academy. He shone by scoring 26 for Wigan Athletic in 2021-22, finishing as top scorer in League One. A career high of 13 goals followed in 2023/24 at Preston, marking a turning point. Keane switched allegiance to Ireland, making his senior debut in a World Cup qualifier against Portugal. In Preston's attack, William David Keane pins centre-backs and finishes moves, getting shots off quickly.
