Aka Wilfried Julien Kanga

Aka Wilfried Julien Kanga is a forward born in Montreuil, France, on 21 February 1998, who represents Côte d’Ivoire. After developing in the Paris area, he began senior football with Créteil before moving to Angers, where he made his Ligue 1 debut in 2017. Kanga then continued his progression at BSC Young Boys, establishing himself in Switzerland and gaining experience in European competition. His performances led to a move to Hertha BSC, adding a Bundesliga chapter to a career built across several leagues. A subsequent loan to Standard Liège brought him back into Belgian football, where he supplied a focal point in attack. He later joined Gent, continuing to operate as a central striker whose size supports direct play, crosses and layoffs for advancing teammates. Kanga made his senior Côte d’Ivoire debut in September 2022, completing an international pathway after youth involvement with both Côte d’Ivoire and France.
