Wladimiro Falcone

Wladimiro Falcone is an Italian goalkeeper born in Rome on 12 April 1995. He developed with Lodigiani and Vigor Perconti before joining Sampdoria’s academy, where he progressed through the club’s reserve setup between 2012 and 2014. From 2014 to 2020, Sampdoria loaned Falcone to Como, Savona, Livorno, Bassano, Gavorrano, Lucchese and Cosenza, giving him experience across Italy’s professional divisions. His 2020–21 spell with Cosenza in Serie B marked a significant step, as he established himself as a regular goalkeeper during a demanding campaign. After returning to Sampdoria and making his Serie A breakthrough, Falcone moved to Lecce on loan for the 2022–23 season. He helped Lecce retain their top-flight place, and the club made his transfer permanent in July 2023. Standing 1.95 metres tall, Falcone combines a strong physical presence with shot-stopping and remains Lecce’s goalkeeper.
